Catvertising Black Cats

-Not sure what to think about this new advertising campaign for Warner Bros.' new video game F.E.A.R. 2. This past Friday the 13th, in London, several black cats were dressed in cat shirts with the game's title and paraded in public. According to a spokesperson, the black cats were used to get the attention of superstitious Londoners. But don't Brits consider black cats to be good luck? Does this perpetuate the black-cat stereotype, or diminish it? Warner Bros. may consider expanding this campaign to the US.

I have a black cat called Luca, a cat rescued from Battersea Dogs & Cats home (a brother for my other cat Rocco). Yes, Italian names as I am Italian by birth. In Italy, black cats are still seen as "evil" and many are killed. I am proud to have a black cat.... I think this media campaign is just making life tougher for black cats in rescue centres looking for a new home. For the record, my Italian relatives aren't impressed by the colour of my new cat!
It's nonsense- Luca is a cure little dude.
