Black Cats in Fine Art

Cecilia Beaux was an incredibly talented artist born in 1855. She excelled at portraits, and chose women and children as her most common subject. The painting that won her the most acclaim is Sita and Sarita, pictured here. This article includes a photo gallery, and a new exhibit at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts showcases her work.
