Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E) wouldn't cut power to 1,700 California customers unless it was for a good cause. Martell/Jackson area Animal Control and PG&E received calls that a black cat had been stranded on top a power pole for up to four days. Using a cherry-picker, the rescuer had no problem coaxing the friendly cat to safety. The cat has a collar, but no ID tag, so rescuers hope its owners will come forward.
