When Sooty went missing from his south-Wales home, his owner got the word out. It was a good thing she did, because Sooty was soon spotted - balanced on a log in a river. Rapids churned nearby, but thanks to black-cat luck, the log remained wedged until rescuers arrived.

Sooty is a really good name and he's a cute cat to boot!
One of my biggest fears is that my cats would escape (they are indoor cats) and never come home. I can only imagine how terrified he must have been on that log in a place unfamiliar to him. Glad it turned out to be a happy ending!
