Arranged Marriage Benefits Shelter

Do these cats look nervous? Perhaps it's because they have some idea of what they're in for - an arranged marriage. Staff at the Baltimore Humane Society celebrated Valentine's Day with a feline nuptial, same as last year. An engagement party in the morning at a local PetSmart garnered attention and gifts for the shelter. Before the afternoon ceremony the original bride hid under a table, so Luna (the beautiful black cat pictured) stepped in. Last year's participants swatted at each other at the altar, but these two seem less hostile. Cheers to the bride and groom, and here's hoping each finds a loving home.
