This article features recent surveys regarding the national feral cat issue. Findings indicate the problem stems from a lack of spay and neutering compounded by free-roaming cats that people feed, but do not own. Until cat owners and enthusiasts take the responsibility to spay and neuter every cat, an ever-increasing number of cats will be euthanized.
