Shelter in Trouble

Mt. Washington Observatory's Marty the black cat enjoys his newly elected position as mascot thanks to New Hampshire's Conway Area Humane Society - the organization that helped place him. But the organization is facing closure and will launch a fundraising blitz April 1st. Shelter workers site the current mortgage crisis as a factor in the sudden influx of surrendered pets. The shelter also recently rescued a litter of puppies from a suspected puppy mill in Maine. See what you can do to help by visiting their website.
