A New York pet owner is holding on to the hope she will be reunited with her black cat - even after four weeks apart. The cat jumped onto subway tracks after escaping its carrier when the two were on their way home from the vet. After an initial search by volunteers, hope for the cat's survival dwindled. Now a transit worker says he saw the cat and a renewed effort may yield a happy ending.
