The "Parlor Panther"

This breed of cat, known as the Bombay, may look too surreal to be true. But it is real, and achieved Cat Fancier's Association Championship status in 1976. It all began in 1953, when a woman paired a copper-eyed American black short-haired male with a Grand Champion sable Burmese female, hoping to create offspring resembling an Indian panther. After a long process the result is remarkable.
